Naomi Stikeman—chuthis. Company Manager
We are pleased to welcome Naomi Stikeman to chuthis. as our Company Manager! Naomi is a former dancer with The National Ballet of Canada, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and La La La Human Steps, among others. Naomi and Peter are both dear friends and long-time collaborators; they worked together in Celine Dion's A New Day, as well as in Çaturn, a multi-media performance experience directed by Naomi, which blends film & dance together. Naomi currently teaches dance in the Las Vegas area and around the world, in addition to running her own performing arts summer program, The Las Vegas Performing Arts Initiative. We feel so lucky to have Naomi bring her talents and expertise to the chuthis. family.

Charlotte Ballet II
chuthis. is very excited to announce that Peter will be working in Charlotte, North Carolina, this season, creating a new work on Charlotte Ballet II. The Rite of Spring project is a partnership with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Charlotte Ballet II, & Charlotte Ballet's REACH Program. REACH is a community outreach, need-based scholarship program, which provides dance training to children throughout the city. Peter's creation will include approximately 60 of these school-age scholarship dancers, as well as apprentices of Charlotte Ballet's Pre-Professional Training Program. Joining the team for this project are Costume Designer Linda Chow and Lighting/Projection Designer JP Woodey, and serving as assistant to Peter is chuthis. Company Member Jenni Berthelot. Peter recently completed Phase 1 with the dancers, and will continue creation in 2018. He is thrilled to be a part of this exciting project, and to be supporting community building through the arts. Look out for more information in the coming months!

Space, In Perspective: Press & Photos
Peter's premiere of Space, In Perspective with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago generated quite a lot of buzz! Here are some of our favorite quotes and photos.
"Chu ... has found countless ways for both parts of the performer-audience equation to play their part in a most enjoyable and ultimately transfixing way. They performed Chu's beautiful choreography—singly, in pairs, and as a grand ensemble that alternately suggested a primal rite and the inexorable motion of waves. The dancing was uniformly superb."
—Hedy Weiss, Chicago Sun Times
"[Space, In Perspective] challenges norms, but also brings the audience up close and personal with groundbreaking art. The final act's on-stage choreography is mind bending, even if it wasn't just a piece of white tape separating you from the dancers."
—Michelle Meywes Kopeny, Chicagoist
